WOW! What A Week!

There has been so much happening this week and I am extremely excited! Putting my business together has been a great learning experience. I have laid out the steps that I will need to focus on to achieve business success. Below is a list of the services, programs and financial interests that I must complete in order to be fully embedded in. Fortunately I do not need to have all of these done before working at earning a profit from my business, but they will have to be taken care of as soon as possible.

After a fair amount of research I have decided to forget about trying to host my own  email server and hire this service out. I have chosen to utilize G Suite to host my email. I feel that this is the best service to cover my needs. I only pay $5 a month for the service and I am guaranteed that the service will running. I do not have to worry about hardware crashing or software needing upgrade, nor do I have to have the worries of maintaining the security of my servers. I will possibly revisit the opportunity later as my business gets bigger and can support more things like this. I also am getting a full set of google products that come with the subscription. All of the apps that I can use for my business and also 30 gigs of online storage, which is 15 gigs more than you get for the free services.

Some of the other services that I am going to be getting or already have are as follows;

  • Leadpages (already subscribed)
  • GetResponse (already subscribed)
  • PayPal (I have a personal account but will be opening a business account)
  • Google sites (already have)
  • Blogger (already have)
  • Google Voice (will be setting up a business account)
  • Business bank account ( must do this after I set up my LLC)
  • Register my business with the state.
  • Post Office box
  • Adwords (already have)
Fitbit Charge 2 Free ShippingEven though I do not have everyone of these service in place  I am up and running. This is a big step. and I am looking forward to growing my business. In fact I was able to get my first ad campaign started with Fitbit. I am using Adsense to run this campaign and have already had 5 clicks since last night when I started the campaign. Hopefully with some tweaking it will start making me some income...since I will have to start paying for these services soon.

My next goal is to get my Natalie Jill Fitness campaign running. Exercise and fitness related items are a big thing right now and probably will continue that way for a long time. I hope to cash in on it.

Have a wonderful day and keep reaching for your goals.

Next Stop...Entrepreneurship!!!

I have been building up to this day for quite some time now. I am really excited to take this next step in my financial future. I have read the books. I have attended seminars/webinars. I have watched tons of videos. I AM READY. So excited and so pumped up to be finally in a position to take these next steps I will be making money when I eat, sleep and am just out enjoying life. Until the day that I can earn money with out my day job, my business will be making money while I am selling my time to an employer. I will be making money!

I have been going back and forth about having my email address hosted by an established service or if I wanted to take on this task myself. I have finally decided to have my email hosted (at least for now) by an already established service. I have chosen Google to do this. They only charge $5.00 per month to have this service and they will be ensuring that my address is always up and running.

I have been associated in affiliate marketing for several months now and only making a few pennies here and there. I have done the research on how to make this business more profitable and I am ready to start. I will be selling to per qualified people. There will be no "cold calling". In fact during this first phase there will be no calling because I will be only working with people who contact me.

Here is a list of the next four steps to achieving my financial freedom.
  1. I am setting up my email account through Google. I have chosen google because they offer, in my opinion the best and easiest line up of products for a small start up business.
  2. The second step is to set up an account with Leadpages.net. I discovered this site while attending webinars. The concept is just what I am looking for.
  3. The third step is to set up my Getresponse.com account. I will be combining the power of Leadpages.net and Getresponse.com in order to make a powerful online marketing tool.
  4. Finally, I will be linking all of these accounts into one powerful online marketing campaign.
As of right now I do not have a huge budget to get this endeavor off of the ground. I have streamlined my startup costs to only include things that are immediately needed. I will be focusing on the rest of the things that I will be requiring for business startup in the next few months. I want to get started making a income in order to finance the rest of the business startup costs.

On a side note. This blog has been online since March 7th. As of the end of the day on April 7th I had 808 views to this blog. During this time I have been heavily promoting myself and I am seeing that it is paying off. I am getting about 14 - 20 viewers even on days that I have not had a chance to promote my work. That means people are coming to my site and reading it. That is most awesome and highly encouraging to a new entrepreneur. I look forward to many more posting and to growing not only my business but also to growing my readership. I want to thank everyone for their support up to this point and look forward to bringing my readers even better content.

Have the most wonderful day and I will soon be back with more.

If You Want To Stop Running Into The Wall, Turn Away From The Wall

If you are asking yourself why you are not getting ahead in life you might want to re-evaluate what you are doing with your life. Are you living your life the way that your family and friends want you to, or have you taken charge of your life and are living the life that you want to live?  Are the people that you are hanging out with the same people that you have been hanging out with for the decade? Two decades? Since you were little?

The friends we have reflect the life that we are living. So if we surround ourselves with people who work the "9 to 5" job without the desire of making a change, then that is who we will be.If we a still are hanging out with our college buddies sitting at the bar getting drunk every night and they have no desire to make life changes, then that is who we will be. If we pattern our lives around how our parents ran their lives, then that is who we will be.

Now if you are working a "9 to 5" job and desire more, then you need to surround yourself with like minded people. You need to be surrounded people that think and act the way that you want to. If you want to be rich, hang out with rich people. If you to be learn a new skill, then hang out with people that share that skill. You are who you make yourself to be. Now I can tell you what to do but you will never change until you make up your mind to make the changes.

So what if you have not broken into the circle that the rich are in then what? If you do not have access to the group of people with the skills that you desire what do you do? Fortunately for you I have the answer, teach yourself. Find books, listen to lecturers, join groups that share your interests. We are living in a time that makes it easy to access the resources that can teach us anything that we want to learn. The internet is bursting with knowledge just waiting to be unlocked.  Library's and bookstores have so many references that will teach you to be the person that you want to be. I have unlocked the power of learning new skills from watching You Tube videos and reading books and it is awesome.

I have watched lectures and documentaries from Tony Robins, Brian Tracy, Jim Rohn and Lewis Howes. I started out reading the "Rich Dad Poor Dad" book series put out by Robert Kyosaki. I listen to Ted Talk Lectures who are presented by people wanting to give us a better understanding or a different understanding of the world around us. I listen to the Mel Robbins Ted Talk over and over because I love the concept that she is teaching us. The best part is that this particular Ted Talk lecture is ranked in the top 10 in Ted Talk history.

I also listen to the lectures of Brian Tracy and Jim Rohn. I read books written by Nepoleon  Hill I watch Marie TV, by Marie Forleo, Valuetainment and the Entrepreneur channels on You Tube. Why do I do this? Because I want to learn what they know. I want to understand how they think and how they got to where they are or were.

How do you know who to listen to? Well I just prequalified a list of people with a great wealth of information for you. You might be saying that you don't want to be like them because they must have no respect for the "common" person in order to achieve such wealth. Well, you are your own person. You learn what it takes to succeed. If this is truly and issue for you then maybe you do not want to change. If you want to change then change and do what ever it takes to makes that change. What separates the rich from the poor is attitude. Change your attitude and change your life.

You have seen the picture included in this posting before. I like this picture because it represents where I want to be. Owning a 1.5 million dollar bus might not be my dream, but it was an experience that I would like to replicate in other parts of my life. I want to have the luxuries that affording a 1.5 million dollar bus would give me. That bus drove six hours to pick up 4 people, including me so that we could tour a factory. We were stayed at the companies family farm and was wined and dined for then entire time that we spent on that trip. That trip inspired me and the memories stayed with me. It is a representation of the lifestyle that I am seeking to achieve. That is why you have seen that picture and will continue to see that picture.

Stop running into the wall and figure out how to go around it.

What's Next?

Up to this point I have been educating you about how to find extra money. I admit that it might not be much but every penny helps. It all adds up. I have given you ideas on how to take money that you have already spent and receive some of it back. I have given examples of how compounding works. Now the question is, what's next?

Up to now you have been learning how to save money, something that saved me when I lost the means to pay for my vacation at the last minute. I ended up having enough cash to cover this expense. Something that I did not have before beginning this step by step process. Even better yet, I spent that money and replaced that money in less than a week after the vacation. In fact I was able to replace it and add an extra $500. So now I have more than I began with. When you do that it is an awesome feeling. The great part is that it is repeatable. Now what we need to focus on is something that will give us a paycheck while we are on vacation, and I am not talking about the hours of vacation time that you cash in on from your employer. Though you must use all of your resources.

Obviously the millionaires and billionaires did not get that way from pinching pennies and compounding the change that they find under the couch cushions. The whole thing comes together when you are able to take that money that you have been saving, spend a little of it and get a lot more in return.

I have been studying the techniques of the rich for quite some time now. There seams to be a common theme. You cannot make money if you are not willing to spend money. That is where the investment part comes in. You must invest in yourself and how much you invest is determined by how much you think that you are worth.

The ideas that I am have presented are working for you as if you invested one penny every day into your savings account. If you did not spend any money you would at the end of the year have $3.65 in the account, not taking into account the interest earned which would be minimal and insignificant. Now lets say that you started with that same penny and invested it into something that will double your money every day. So, as an example:

  • Day 1: you invest $.01 and never invest any more money. but it doubles every day. What does day two look like.
  • Day 2: $.01x2=$0.02. Let's keep this going for a few days.
  • Day 3: $.02x2=$0.04
  • Day 4: $.04x2=$0.08
  • Day 5: $.08x2=$0.16
  • Day 6: $.16x2=$0.32
  • Day 7: $.32x2=$0.64
  • Day 8: $.64x2=$1.28
  • Day 9: $1.28x2=$2.56
  • Day 10: $2.56x2=$5.12
Wait a minute! In just 10 days I have made more money than I did by saving a penny every day for a year. In fact I made $1.47 more. Now what would it be like if I continued it on for even just one month? Well let me show you. So $.01 invested on day one turns into $5,368,709.12. Wow! That is called a return on your investment that comes to a 536,870,912% increase. Impossible? Practically speaking...Yes. The lesson hear is you need to strive to have a system that can compound you money 100% over a specific period of time. We could have looked at the number of days as months, or even years. In one year do you think that you could double the initial investment of one penny? What about one month?

Most people have no problem giving their money away to an investor to invest in a retirement plan. If people invest in the stock market most people rely on a broker or try to find the right picks for themselves, without the proper research. Do you know who you are giving your money to? Do you know the financials behind the company that you are investing in? Most people would say no. They see a line on a chart that is going in the positive direction and say that this is must be the next big thing. They might hear about a hot stock that everyone is talking about. Well guess what. For the best returns on your investment you are already to late. If everyone is talking about it your most likely to late.

What about that broker? Do you know anything about his investment history? What rate of returns are they typically seeing? What are their fees? Do you know what the hidden fees are? What is the brokers or their firms investment philosophy? If you cannot answer these question how do you know that you are getting the best investment that your money can buy?

I am currently invested in the stock market. I work my own numbers and understand that there are up days and down days. I don't panic when I see that I have lost money. That is a part of the game. You will lose money the majority of the time. Even the professional investors understand this? They are just better informed to know where the trends are and can give you better odds. They understand that the average investor will lose money. Most of them don't care because if you lose money, they still get paid.

So I have a savings account working for me and a stock account working for me. Next up is to invest in a income generating business. I have been studying various business ideas and have put together various ideas that I believe that will work for me. I have been able to identify several up and coming industries and several opportunities that have been around that have been proven to provide a great rate of return.

Over the next days, weeks and months I will be implementing my financial visions to give my income stream a boost. I will be inviting you along for the ride. In the mean time start educating yourself by reading books, watching videos and doing research on different ideas that you might have. Next stop, teaching you how to take $1.00 and increasing it by 800%...theoretically. I have done the research and my money is working for me. What's your money doing for you?

Until next time, Keep your head up and keep looking for the next great opportunity. Have a wonderful day.

Every Penny Counts

I am an advocate of saving every penny that my fingers can grab. Why? Because it all adds up. My grandma use to pickup all the money that people would drop and just abandon. The were quarters, dimes, nickles and even pennies. When she got home she would add it to a jar that she kept in the kitchen cabinet. The question is why did she do that. Why? She understood the value of money.

Growing up she lived through some of the most difficult times of the last 100 years. She was born in 1917 which was during the latter half of World War I( July, 1914 - November, 1918). By the time she turned 12 year old the world was plunged into the Great Depression (1929 - 1939). Immediately as the country was pulling out of the great depression the world was once again facing conflict which became known as World War II (September, 1939 - September, 1945). For the first 28 years of her life she lived in at world that was unstable and in turmoil. The people that grew up during these times learned to appreciate the value of money. Will never forget this ritual of hers.

Today, most people will walk down the street or through a parking lot and not even give a second consideration for a penny that would be laying on the ground. To them the effort that it takes to reach down is not worth it, but let's look at the numbers. If you picked up a single penny every day and at the end of every month you deposited this "free" money into a savings account that earned .25%, (today's going rate), and you did this for 30 years, you would have $177.68 of free money in your account. This number includes $68.18 interest, all of which is free money. As I have stated in previous postings, I am not taking into consideration taxes. I do this to drive home the value of compounding and the fact that the tax rates for everyone is different. There are also investments that can be made to minimize the amount of taxes that you will be charged. Work with your accountant or fiduciary to find the best values for your money.

That is with just $.01 per day for 30 years. What if we found on average $.10, $.25, $.50 or even $1.00? Just in interest here are the numbers. If you are running around with the mindset that the pennies do not count. You will lose out and where will it end? As your income increases might start adopting ideas that since I make a $100,00 a year that extra dollar a day is not going to make a difference. Now you graduated from a penny to a dollar. How will you think when you are making $200,00, $500,000 or $1,000,000?

If you lose touch with the value of the penny where does it end? In your financial life you might lose value of other monetary denominations. If you are in business you might not find the value in a job that is not over a particular dollar amount. Where will it end? Every penny counts and every penny is building a value system in your life that covers not just money but also can bleed into other decisions that you make in your personal and business lives.

Compounding Makes A Difference

A couple of postings ago I suggested that you start to save $20 or even $40 out of every paycheck. I also suggested that you do this for a year with out touching the money set aside. What might not seem like a lot does add up. It adds up to financial freedom. Now I want to visit the idea of compounding interest.

Table 1
As I have demonstrated in some examples in the past, compounding interest does not make you instantly rich. In fact, it will be quite some time before it will do anything of significance to your financial stability. What I am looking for here is to squeeze every penny possible out of making your money work for you.

If you refer to Table 1 you can see that your first end of the month interest payment for January is only $.10. Even after your first year the payout at the end of December is not significant at $1.32 per month. This gives you a meager $8.22 for the entire year, nothing that one can live on or even get rich off of.

Table 2
After 10 years it is starting to look a little better. In December of your 10th year you can expect to be receiving $15.14 in interest per month. That of course is not much but remember it is $15.14 per month that you did not have to work for. It is because the money you saved is now working for you to earn you money. That comes to an extra $869.74 that you would of never had and that you never had to sell your time to earn it. Just imaging what you could do if you saved $40, $60, $80, $100, $500 or even $1000 per paycheck. Just imaging where you could be.
The nice thing is that I have already calculated these numbers out and they are rather impressive.  Just see the listing below to realize the power of compounding in just a 10 year span of time.

$40 Investment per paycheck = $30.27 per month interest = $1,739.49 total interest earned.
$60 Investment per paycheck = $45.41 per month interest = $2,609.23 total interest earned.
$80 Investment per paycheck = $60.55 per month interest = $3,478.98 total interest earned.
$100 Investment per paycheck = $75.68 per month interest = $4,348.72 total interest earned.
$500 Investment per paycheck = $378.41 per month interest = $21,743.62 total interest earned.
$1000 Investment per paycheck = $756.83 per month interest = $43,487.24 total interest earned.

Now just imagine what you can do with your money if you started saving when you are 18 or 20 years old and saved like this until you wanted to retire. How much would you have. Now I am going to burst the bubble just a little bit, but I have to before any of the financial geeks out there try ripping me apart for not taking into consideration one major issue with these calculations. I never took into consideration taxes. Yes, we do have to pay annual taxes on what we earn. That cuts into the interest that can compound and will significantly decrease the ending totals that I have come up with. I chose to do these calculation with out the consideration for taxes because there are ways to save and compound the interest with minimal taxation or even no taxes. You will have to eventually have to pay taxes it just is a matter of when you pay the taxes, before or after you have compounded your money + interest.

When All Else Fail...Having Liquid Assets Will Be A Lifesaver.

Well, I was going to do a follow-up to the last posting but it will have to wait. I figured that this message would be more important. Just hours for leaving for a vacation to New York and to Ontario I found that I would be traveling with out the credit card that I was going to put every thing that I would spend on this trip. It was not an option any more.

I called the credit card company and found out that my credit card was disabled several months ago. There was no problems with the account it, unfortunately it was shut off because they had sent me new cards with the chip in it. I still have not seen any evidence of having ever received these cards. They as sending new cards out but with less than 24 hours before my trip starts the cards would not get to us until half way through the trip. This could be a problem.

What saved the day was the fact that I have liquid assets to work with. I was able to transfer some cash around and position it into accounts that I can use on my trip. I am able to pay for the entire trip with cash. This is something that I was not able to do just a few years ago. I have spent the time educating myself and putting the financial safety's into place. This has been a lifesaver.
When I get off of this vacation I will be replacing the cash that I am spending from my savings. This is a very important thing to remember. In order to take from the savings account you must replace the cash in the savings account.  This way you will never run out. I am fortunate enough to have this ability to do this quickly. For others it might take more time, but you must remember to do this because you never know when another situation will arise and you will need to have that money.

Having liquid assets have saved me this time and it is a great feeling. This however is just one branch of my financial freedom plan. In all reality I have 3 branches of this plan already in place. I have a job which is feeding cash into covering my financial obligations/bills and feeding more value into my other two branches. I have a savings a plan by utilizing a money market account. This enables me to maximize what little interest I earn off of my cash that I have set aside for the occasional emergency. I also have put into place a more risky investment with the stock market. I currently own stocks in seven companies in various sectors.

This is not however the end of my path leading to financial freedom. I have put together a portfolio of affiliate companies that I represent. In other words I select companies that I feel that I want to promote because of similar interest, the right products or popularity with the shoppers. These are companies that I have contacted and requested to become an affiliate. In the beginning there will not be a significant income coming from these companies but as you promote these companies and you build a follower base the money will start to flow in on a regular basis and will start adding to your income.

The purpose of this posting is to let you know that by investing in yourself can be a lifesaver and that it actually works. I will be back soon with more tip, tricks and ideas that will assist you in becoming financially free from the slavery that money has imposed on us and allowing us to control the money to working for use. Hope you have a wonderful day and I will see you soon. Next stop, Canada.
